At the top of my recommended list is the “Salvador Dali Museum Theatre” – an absolute must-visit. Located in Figueres, the hometown of the artist, this museum is a unique experience curated by Dali himself. The intention is for visitors not just to feel like they are “visiting a museum” but rather entering a surrealist dream. This surreal atmosphere begins in the museum square, adorned with enormous sculptures, plastic works, and whimsical objects at every turn, creating what I like to call the “Amusement Park of Art.”
Within the theatrical museum, we embark on a journey into the depths of the soul and consciousness of one of the most eccentric, creative, and fascinating artists to have graced this planet – Salvador Dali. Pleasure is guaranteed! Our guided tour will explore the museum’s significant spaces, led by a captivating and entertaining guide. I firmly believe that the guide’s quality is integral to the intensity of the experience. The explanations about the artworks, coupled with spicy stories about the turbulent life of the eccentric artist and his muse, Gala, are sure to make you fall in love with the place at first sight.
☂ Rafaelos recommendation:
If you want to expand your trip with a beautiful city from the Middle Ages and want to open the Jewish chakra, I recommend that you add a visit to the city of Girona to the tour (click for details).
