The city of a thousand conquests - from the secrets of Kabbalah to Game of Thrones: a journey into Hirona
Once a Roman fortress and now one of the most enchanting cities in northern Catalonia, Girona is strategically located at the meeting point of the Ter and Onyar rivers. It’s no coincidence that the producers of Game of Thrones chose this city to film the sixth season. During the Middle Ages, Girona was a significant spiritual center, where the mystical teachings of Kabbalah were developed. We will stroll through the picturesque alleys of the Jewish Quarter, stop under the balcony of Ramban (Nachmanides), and be amazed by the magnificent cathedral, which tells not only its own story but also the story of the entire city. If you wish, we can also continue to the Jewish History Museum, which recounts the golden age of the Jewish community in Spain.
Note: The explanations about the cathedral will be provided from the outside. Entry to the Jewish Museum will be possible only if it is open during the tour.
